All Earth Moving calculations and analysis are based on approved or conceptual Sequence of Construction, and Phasing. The data is presented to you by Region or by Facility and is appropriately converted from Temporary Grading to Final Grading where required. (Temporary Sediment Traps & Channels, Basin Conversions, etc.)
Mass Rock Excavation, Varying Sub Stratum, Foundation Excavation and Utility Excavation Quantities are all included when appropriate and in accordance with approved Profiles and Geotechnical Data.
If your project has an excess or a deficit of structural fill we can provide you with feasible solutions to raise or lower the site benchmark in order to achieve more balanced earth volumes needed to reduce the import or export of structural material. If a benchmark adjustment is not permitted, we can seek out areas where excess topsoil can be exchanged onsite with suitable fill to lessen an import or we can create landscape berms to utilize excess material and minimize an export.

Excavation can be a make-or-break item when bidding Lump Sum or Unit Price Projects. That is why we use the most accurate Excavation and 3-D Modeling Software available. We prefer to work CAD files or Vector PDF files. Having these files available for this work keeps the cost down for you while ensuring accuracy. But do not worry, if you do not have these files, we can easily digitize the work instead. Once complete we will provide you with the program summary, a scaled and colored cut/fill map, and our own custom summary that will include Pre-Bulk and Post-Bulk Calculations, expected Utility Trench Spoils, Structure Excavations, Phasing, and more.
